2011 - NWS Elite - 16U
Congratulations to the 2011
NWS Elite 16U Team !
The NWS Elite 16U season, the team
went 30-9, took a first place, winning the 18U PONY
New England Regional Tournament, a 2nd place,
and a 3rd place in five "A" division tournaments.
It then placed 15th in the 16U, PONY Nationals in
North Carolina!
A great season!

NWS Elite 16U has completed it's formal tryouts for the 2012 team. However, we are still looking for a few key players to round out our 2012 roster.

Team History
In 2009 NWS Elite launched a new 16U team, as we begin to build a league
of Tournament Teams from 12U - 23U.
Our primary objective that year was to play in 6 or more high quality
Tournaments in the New England area, from Mid June into August 2009. As you can see in our archive section, we had some real success in our first year, and this continued in 2010!

We
launched our team with an experienced coaching staff for
this team, which will continue to coach the NWS Elite 18U team during the 2012 season.
• Head Coach
- Mr. Brian McGan, former professional baseball player with the
Toronto Blue Jays organization, former Fastpitch Tournament team player,
and current Head Coach of Hampshire Regional High School
Asst. Coach
- Mr. Richard Mousette, current Asst. Coach Softball of Hampshire Regional High School
• Pitching Coach - Mr. Ken Morehouse, former Fastpitch
Pitcher, Tournament Team Head Coach, former American International College
Pitching Coach, long time Western Mass Fastpitch Pitching Coach, and
currently involved in the NWS Elite Fastpitch Pitching Program at the
Westfield Boys & Girls Club
We are still looking for committed players that want to participate in this
new program for the 2012 Season.

In 2012, our team will be Coached by Mr. Mike Minicucci, who coached with the NWS Elite 14U team
during the 2011 season. We wish Mike much success as he follows in the foot steps of our 2011 16U team!

Practices
will be set up through our Fall and Winter at the Westfield Boys & Girls Club, and we may run an indoor schedule as well in the winter of 2010 - 2011. Watch our schedule on the left side of this page for details.
